You asked, and E-flite® delivers! The UMX™ Timber® X is a scaled-down, ultra-micro version of the extremely popular Timber® X 1.2m — and it's one of the most-requested models in E-flite history. The unique wing design combines the STOL capabilities of the Turbo Timber with oversized control surfaces and a 3S compatible power system to deliver an even wider flight envelope. The UMX Timber X also comes equipped with LED landing, navigation, and strobe lights, and provides real-time battery voltage and other telemetry data to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. Because of its ultra-micro size, the UMX Timber X can be flown outdoors in many yards, parks, and sports fields, or even indoors in gymnasiums and other suitable spaces. Install the optional UMX floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately) and you can also fly from pools, ponds, and lakes. It's a great choice for a wide range of intermediate to experienced pilots, and offers a "mild to wild" flying experience that no other model can touch!
Convenient, capable, and affordable, the E-flite® UMX™ Timber® X combines the fly-almost-anywhere advantages of the UMX Turbo Timber with the unique capabilities of the larger Timber X 1.2m. Compared to the ultra-micro Timber models that came before it, its brushless power system features a 3S-compatible outrunner motor and the wing has a shortened span, larger ailerons plus an enlarged elevator and rudder. On low rates, the controls can be smooth and docile. On high rates, they deliver eXtreme 3D capability — to fly as mild or as wild as you'd like! The full-span ailerons can also be used as flaperons for improved slow flight and STOL performance. Spektrum™ AS3X® and optional-use SAFE® Select technologies are included for easier flying, and the control unit/flight controller provides real-time flight battery voltage telemetry and other data to compatible Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters. Oversized, tundra-style wheels soak up bumps and offer excellent prop clearance. Fly from grass, gravel paths, dirt trails, paved, and other surfaces, outdoors in yards, parks, sports fields and beyond, or indoors in suitable spaces including gymnasiums. Install optional floats (EFLUA1190, sold separately) to add large pools, small ponds, and lakes to your flying site options. Included LED landing, navigation and simulated strobe lights make it possible to fly from earlier to even later in the day. Constructed of advanced EPS material for a lightweight but durable airframe, the UMX Timber X arrives 100% factory-assembled and ready to bind to your 5+ channel DSMX®/DSM2® equipped transmitter. I needed something very weird for a 3d printer part and crossed my fingers when I went to this shop as they deal mostly with a different style of hobbies. They not only had the screws I need but also had something that I didn't know existed and was exactly what I needed to make my repair. They have my business now and I am excited to return for more items.
This place is awesome! They had just about every scale model manufacturer represented. Some of the decals in the huge drawers were out of production rare! The largest scale aircraft section between Little Rock and Kennesaw I have seen.
Half the hobby side is train stuff, and they have a large RC section. There was also a more thrift-type side that was interesting to browse. Just come and look!
Absolutely love this store. Am a kit builder and they have a wide collection of those, most any brand you can think of. I try and spend my money here as opposed to the almighty eBay or Amazon since I'd like to think I help keep this place open. All sorts and brands of paint to feed my airbrush. For non modelers, they have a phenomenal collection of RC, an inside slot car track, an offroad RC test track for smaller off road cars. An amazing collection of train models and trains. Ho type stuff. I'm not into those but they have a huge variety of this stuff. Then a bunch of collectibles and a card playing corner. Definitely worth a visit!
The improvements are really great . We had a great day just hanging out . We were made to feel like family .We are RC inthusists . But found a ridiculous amount of things we are all interested in . We couldn't leave . Thank you midsouth hobbies ❣️ good job .
An amazing Mecca of rc/modeling hobby supplies and goods. The aisle of model paint will bring happy tears of elation to those who paint. Also they have an amazing crawler table set up for rc cars.
I have been a big fan of the store for a while, but the recent renovations are blowing me away. This is a great store full of every materials for all hobbies. Trains, RC cars and planes, models, games, and all the paints you could want. The staff are super friendly and will order anything they don’t have.
