Mid-South Hobbies is a second-generation, family-owned, old-fashioned hobby shop founded in 1996. Located on historic Summer Avenue, we have over 16,000 square feet of everything from vintage model trains to the latest in remote control vehicles, an indoor slot car track and the largest RC parts and accessories department for hundreds of miles.
We specialize in rare and hard-to-find plastic model kits, from antique cars to military vehicles and planes, as well as the largest selection of paints, glues, and accessories for all your hobby needs.
We also carry a wide variety of collectibles, including DC, Marvel, Star Wars, and Star Trek figurines.

Our History
Founded in 1996 by Emmo Hein, Mid-South Hobbies has served as an epicenter for hobby items for the Mid-South. Having started out originally in the train business, the store has grown exponentially to encompass everything that can be found today.
Today, the store is owned by Mr. Hein's nephew and his wife, who are dedicated to carrying on the tradition of supporting hobbyists throughout the region as well as introducing the next generation of hobbyists to a world of possibilities.
With a true love for what they do, the owners and staff alike are very knowledgeable on the variety of hobbies and love connecting with both new and old customers over their shared interests.
Buddy, the shop dog
Buddy, our 13-year-old Golden Retriever can often be found greeting customers at the shop. He loves to visit with new friends, keep an eye on the trains and chase after RC cars in the field.
