This is a Tamiya Japanese Hayate Frank Type 4 1/48 Airplane Model Kit. This plastic assembly kit depicts the Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate (Allied reporting name "Frank"). This aircraft entered service in Spring of 1944 and was mainly tasked with defending the Japanese home islands from attacks by B-29s and carrier aircraft. After the war, the U.S. military evaluated the type and deemed it to be the best Japanese fighter of WWII. The Hayate's form is accurately reproduced and the model features delicate surface details. Modelers may choose to assemble the model with deployed or retracted landing gear as well as open or closed canopy. Parts for a drop tank and two pilot figures, as well as four marking options are included.

This place is awesome! They had just about every scale model manufacturer represented. Some of the decals in the huge drawers were out of production rare! The largest scale aircraft section between Little Rock and Kennesaw I have seen.
Half the hobby side is train stuff, and they have a large RC section. There was also a more thrift-type side that was interesting to browse. Just come and look!

Absolutely love this store. Am a kit builder and they have a wide collection of those, most any brand you can think of. I try and spend my money here as opposed to the almighty eBay or Amazon since I'd like to think I help keep this place open. All sorts and brands of paint to feed my airbrush. For non modelers, they have a phenomenal collection of RC, an inside slot car track, an offroad RC test track for smaller off road cars. An amazing collection of train models and trains. Ho type stuff. I'm not into those but they have a huge variety of this stuff. Then a bunch of collectibles and a card playing corner. Definitely worth a visit!
